Jeremy Amack
In the Beginning
Jeremy Amack was born on February 22, 1979, in Scott City, Kansas. The oldest of three boys and the oldest in the band. Jeremy never lacked in drive and determination. He had a normal childhood in a loving home. Some of his earliest memories are watching MTV legends like KISS, Guns n Roses, and Motley Crue. He started playing guitar at age 16, is self taught, and heavily influenced by Megadeth and Slayer. Since an early age it was always his dream to be in a band.
The worst and the best of me
Jeremy began his career in the music industry at a very late age. For twenty years, it simply wasn't possible. Several factors contributed to that. Drug addiction and alcoholism ruined the early part of his 20's as he worked odd jobs and mostly wandered the country on foot. Going back home to Kansas in 2005 completely broken and needing rehab, he got that in the form of employment with a company that would lay the foundation for how he presented himself for the rest of his life. This company put him in charge of his own future and gave him a chance to succeed, and it was by talking to complete strangers.. every single day. That changed his prospective on everything, and how he spoke to people. Jeremy was extremely successful at this. He traveled the country for ten years straight. It was around 2017 when his personal life started to unravel.. ironically, in Casper, Wyoming. This was before he even knew his future band mates. He spent 6 months on the road again when he was inspired to create a music group on Facebook. To his surprise, that group brought him back to Casper, where, through some kind of miracle, he was given another chance to pursue The Band Repent. It's an opportunity that he cherishes and will never take for granted again.
Creating The Band Repent
Jeremy is the founder of The Band Repent, and it's driving force. Having written some of the songs as far back as 1999 (WAR) and most of the Written in Blood album between 2015 - 2016, the material he created years ago is finally seeing life! It certainly hasn't been easy, but he's never backed away from the challenge of building a legacy from the ground up. It starts with a solid foundation, and that's evident with the other four members in the band. Shawn, Steve, Joe, and Dominic each bring such a unique and different blend of sounds and styles to the table. August 1, 2019 was the day The Band Repent was officially established, and Jeremy has worked relentlessly every day since then to make sure this band achieves what it is supposed to.
The Battle Within
Jeremy draws his lyrical inspiration from stories of complete destruction in the Bible. Apocalyptic themes, demonic possession, genocide, and spiritual warfare are common occurrences throughout his writings. Extremely violent on stage, it's his mission to demolish everything in their path when they play live.
